.2 Scientifi c and Technological Innovation of Nuclear Energy 018

Abstract: New progress was made in scientific and technological innovation
in China’s nuclear energy sector in 2021. Large advanced pressurized water reactor
                 ഠ߶॓࿐໓ངԛϱഠϱಃ෮Ⴕ
and high-temperature gas-cooled reactor nuclear power plant continued to be
further advanced. CAP1400 has made new progress in the autonomy of equipment
and materials, nuclear power standard system. HTR-PM continues to carry out in-

depth research on related technical fields such as the debugging and operation of
demonstration projects. The fi rst HPR 1000 nuclear power plant in China and abroad
have been in commercial operation. New breakthroughs have been made in the

independent research and development of key equipment, and the level of digital
intelligence has been continuously improved. The demonstration project of small

modular reactor has officially started construction. Research and development of
advanced nuclear energy systems and demonstration projects were being stepped up.
The demonstration project of multi-purpose utilization of nuclear energy has been put
into operation. New breakthroughs have been made in the research and development

of controlled nuclear fusion technology, and the certification of software with
independent intellectual property rights was progressing smoothly.

Keywords: Science and Technology Innovation; Large PWR; High-Temperature
Gas-Cooled Reactor; Small Modular Reactor; Nuclear Fusion
