Abstract

year, accounting for about 4.8% of the country’s total power generation; 20 nuclear
power units were under construction, with a total installed capacity of 21.429 million

kilowatts, continuing to rank fi rst in the world. New progress has been made in nuclear
energy technology innovation. The fi rst domestic and foreign HPR1000 reactors were
put into commercial operation one after another, the major project of large-scale
advanced pressurized water reactor continued to advance, the high-temperature gas-

cooled nuclear power plant demonstration project was successfully connected to the
grid for the fi rst time, the construction of onshore small modular reactors started, and

new breakthroughs were made in the research and development of key technologies
for advanced nuclear energy systems such as sodium-cooled fast reactors, lead-cooled
fast reactors, molten salt reactors, and fusion reactors. The production and operation
                 ഠ߶॓࿐໓ངԛϱഠϱಃ෮Ⴕ
of the nuclear fuel cycle industry remained stable, new progress was made in the
exploration, mining and smelting of uranium ore, the processing and production of
nuclear fuel was stable and reliable, the development of serialization and type spectrum

of fuel elements continued to advance, and the management of spent fuel and
radioactive waste in nuclear power plants continued to be strengthened. The capability
of independence and localization of nuclear power equipment has been continuously

improved, the annual supply capacity of about 10 units/set of 1-million-kilowatt-class
pressurized water reactor nuclear power main equipment has been formed, and the

localization rate of main reactor equipment has reached over 90%. Work in the fi elds
of nuclear energy industry management, policy and regulation system construction,
radiation safety supervision, nuclear emergency response, and nuclear security
have been continuously strengthened. The systemization, institutionalization and

standardization of nuclear energy personnel training have been further strengthened,
and a high-quality nuclear energy personnel team with a scale of about 200,000

people has been formed. The nuclear energy industry has deepened its opening to the
outside world, and continued to strengthen international cooperation in the fi elds of
nuclear power engineering, nuclear energy industry chain, scientifi c and technological
