Abstract: Based on the achievements and experience of Qinshan nuclear power
plant unit 1 operating license extension demonstration project, this paper expounds the

safety guarantee for the extensive operation of nuclear power units from the technical
and regulatory aspects. The technical route, technical methods, industrial standards and
practical experience of nuclear power plant extensive operation can provide reference

and guide for China’s nuclear power plants to perform the operating license extension
activities.
